This is the kind of dinner I make on repeat when I want something easy that still tastes really good. It’s smoky, a little spicy, and comes together in under 15 minutes with pantry spices. I love making this on busy weeknights and for a casual dinner, and it never misses!
Ingredients: Easy Blackened Salmon
3 salmon fillets (5–6 oz each), skin-on
olive oil
1½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp chili powder
½ tsp salt
I like using a simple parchment-lined sheet pan for easy cleanup. Smoked paprika is key here for that deep, blackened flavor. I use Redmond Real Salt here because it’s simple, mineral-rich, and my go-to for everyday cooking.
How to Make it
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Pat salmon dry. Rub with olive oil and coat evenly with seasoning.
Place skin-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Roast 8–12 minutes, depending on thickness, until it flakes easily.
Finish with red pepper flakes, fresh cilantro, and lime.
Extra Tips
serve with jasmine rice + roasted broccoli for an easy bowl
adjust spice by using more or less chili powder
if salmon is thicker, add a couple extra minutes in the oven
