Strawberries are one of my all time favorite fruits. They are vitamin C, manganese, magnesium and potassium! They are high in many antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce cellular aging and risk of long-term health conditions like cancer, diabetes, stroke, and heart disease. In addition to these health benefits, I add strawberries to this cocktail to help create the perfect consistency and boost flavor.
An authentic Mojito is a cocktail which includes white rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water, and mint. It’s a great combination of sweetness, citrus, and mint flavors, making it a great summer drink. This strawberry mojito recipe is a fun twist on that popular classic recipe. I prefer vodka over rum, but you can easily add rum in this recipe. You only need a tiny bit of honey to add on to the already sweet strawberry flavor. To lower the sugar even more, leave out the honey and add a few drops of stevia. For optimal consistency, the key is to use frozen strawberries! This will result in the perfect thick and smooth drink. To make a non-alcoholic version, leave out the liquor and add extra soda.
