This Protein Cookies and Cream Ice Cream is my new go-to dessert to make with my Ninja Creami. It’s smooth, sweet, packed with protein, and still totally satisfies that cookies & cream craving. Oh, and it’s gluten-free, dairy-free, and low in sugar—so yeah, basically magic. Perfect for a post-workout treat, a healthy dessert, or a sweet snack.
Owyn Chocolate Protein Shake
Unsweetened Almond Milk
Simple Mills Cacao Nut Butter Sandwich Cookies
Coconut Shreds
My favorite protein shake to use is the Owyn Chocolate that is dairy free. Each container has over 20 grams of protein and added vitamins and minerals. The ingredients are also pretty clean compared to other brands I have seen, and it also works really well in the Creami!
My favorite Oreo alternative is the Simple MIlls Cacao Nut Butter Sandwich Cookies. They are gluten free, dairy free and simple in ingredients.
If you have been thinking about getting a Ninja Creami, it will not disappoint! Disclaimer- this recipe still tastes like a protein shake. It comes out to a creamy consistency but is not the exact same as ice cream. I think it tastes great and is the perfect healthier alternative if you are looking for one!
You must freeze the protein shake for at least 24 hours or it wont be thick enough to spin.
I like to use the light ice cream setting- I’ve found it creates the perfect consistency.
After your first light ice cream setting is complete- add the almond milk all the way to the top, then spin it again with the light ice cream setting.
