Pasta with Bolognese Sauce

Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1/2 yellow onion chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • olive oil
  • basil

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to instructions.
  • Add olive oil and chopped onion to a large skillet over medium /high heat, sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently until the onions are translucent.
  • Add in the ground beef and saute until cooked through and no longer pink.
  • Mix in the tomato sauce, salt and garlic powder and reduce heat to low. Let simmer for a few minutes to let the flavors blend.
  • Add the pasta to the sauce, and gently toss to coat. Divide among serving bowls, and garnish with chopped basil.
